Promising but very "jerky" experience snuffs the joy out Jun 16, 2010
Most of the previous reviews pretty much capture it all. This game shows great potential around graphics, player imitations and ability to hit top-spin etc. But very poor by way of usability and has some really annoying "glitches".
Usability - in a nutshell: very difficult to get a hang of. Menus, options etc. are not self-explanatory and the help section is anything but helpful. Very difficult to figure out how to get ahead in this game.
Glitches - the player you control does some really annoying things like overrun the ball, switch forehand/back-hand at the last second etc. which makes for a very jerky and frustrating experience.

I would recommend sticking to the default tennis game on the Wii even though it lacks in graphics/sophistication. This EA version promises a lot but is hardly enjoyable.
Challenging game of Tennis Jun 12, 2010
I had maxed out my other tennis games. It will take me a while to get better on this Wii product but that is okay.
OK Game. Could have been alot better! Jun 08, 2010
The game play is spot on as far as wii motion feedback goes and the skill ratings are just as tight when going from easy to hard. Unfortunately it does not get me involved. I would love for better commentary because Honestly the three of four lines used during game play sucked!! they could add realness with the court refs and ball chasers actually being human like and movable instead of dead statues. and the grand slam tour is so un fulling I want to see interactions with the players I wanna have a mandatory practice and training with my coach to get better when I cant serve better or when My backhand gets weak or even when i have to many unforced errors I want to feel like Im becoming a better player emotionally with the game especially since i have to stand in a empty living room to play. And You cannot travel thru the grand slam tour with a partner in like a doubles play me and my girlfriend were looking forward to that. its fun for about a week or two then it moves to the bottom of the pile.
Go for it!!! May 22, 2010
Totally worth the money. I usually dont write reviews since I am so lazy to do so, but this one definitely deserves one. Go for it
My Favorite Wii Game May 20, 2010
I bought this game about 4 months ago - and I am a FAN! It is a quantum leap up from the Nintendo tennis game that comes with Wii - much more complex and active, and difficult. You can build your player and play tournaments against famous players all over the world. I have also been playing online, and in the last month have played against players from Europe, Africa, and South America. Really entertaining - and a good workout!
